Equipment Owner – Bulk Material Handling

About the role

The Equipment Owner is responsible for preparing bulk raw materials for production, ensuring accurate weighing, safe handling, and reliable operation of weighing and production equipment. This position works on the shop floor in a manufacturing environment, supporting the production team to meet schedule and quality targets.

Key responsibilities

• Accurately weigh and prepare bulk raw materials according to specifications.
• Inspect, verify and maintain weighing equipment and related machinery daily.
• Document raw material weights, equipment maintenance actions, and safety compliance.
• Coordinate material preparation schedules with production teams.
• Operate, monitor and troubleshoot production machinery to ensure optimal performance.
• Perform routine basic maintenance and minor repairs on equipment to minimise downtime.
• Conduct quality‑control checks and record results.
• Support process‑improvement initiatives and operational efficiencies.
• Provide technical support and training on equipment use and safety procedures.
• Participate in safety audits and promote a safe working environment.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical certifications are a plus.
• Proven experience operating equipment in bulk material handling or a similar industrial setting.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow specifications.
• Good organisational and time‑management skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with production staff.
• Physical ability to lift objects up to 50 lb and perform manual tasks.
• Comfortable working in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
