Exhibition Production Designer

About the role

The Exhibition Production Designer will create detailed layouts, floor plans, and graphic elevations that guide the installation of large‑scale immersive exhibitions. Working from existing intellectual property, you will adapt designs to specific venues while ensuring safety, accessibility, and operational efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Collect venue data (plans, dimensions, constraints) and build accurate 3D models.
• Develop graphic elevations and coordinate with graphics teams for branding, signage, and wayfinding.
• Adapt existing IP to new venues, preserving creative intent and visitor flow.
• Conduct test fits and feasibility studies to verify spatial requirements.
• Apply safety standards, ADA requirements, and life‑safety codes to all layouts.
• Integrate operational needs such as circulation, queuing, emergency egress, and staff workflows.
• Collaborate with technical designers, design managers, and production teams to align layouts with site conditions.
• Produce venue‑specific documentation for internal coordination, client presentations, and approvals.
• Maintain version control and revision tracking of all drawings.
• Participate in venue surveys and support installation phases.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Architecture or a related field.
• Proven experience creating 3D models for exhibition or interior projects.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work with multidisciplinary teams.

Required skills

• SketchUp
• AutoCAD
• InDesign (Adobe Creative Suite is a plus)
• Basic proficiency with Microsoft Excel
