Facilities Mechanical Engineer

About the role

STMicroelectronics is seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer to design, develop, and maintain the mechanical infrastructure that supports its utilities and distribution loops. You will work on a variety of systems, including compressors, dryers, chillers, cooling towers, and pumps, ensuring they operate efficiently and reliably.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, conceptualize, and create mechanical designs for utilities and distribution loops.
• Produce and review technical drawings, plans, and specifications using CAD software.
• Perform engineering calculations to support design decisions.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams, vendors, and contractors.
• Document project development and design processes, tracking progress and budget.
• Create and maintain operation, maintenance, FMEA, and FRM procedures for mechanical systems.
• Troubleshoot, maintain, and improve mechanical equipment performance.
• Train technicians and oversee preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance activities.

Required profile

• Engineer or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 5–10 years of professional engineering experience.
• Proven experience designing mechanical systems for utilities and distribution loops.
• Strong problem‑solving abilities and clear communication skills.
• Self‑motivated team player.

• SolidWorks
• AutoCAD (or similar CAD tools)
