Finance Functional Consultant (IT – AMS)

About the role

The Finance Functional Consultant (IT – AMS) will provide L2/L3 support for finance‑related processes and systems, ensuring smooth operations during critical periods such as month‑end and year‑end. You will act as a bridge between business users and technical teams, resolving incidents, managing change requests, and driving continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Handle finance incidents and service requests (AP, AR, GL, Tax, Fixed Assets, CO) within SLA/KPI targets.
• Perform functional analysis to identify configuration gaps, data inconsistencies, or process deviations and document solutions.
• Capture, analyze, and prioritize change requests; prepare functional specifications and coordinate development, testing, and deployment.
• Identify recurring issues, propose automation or process enhancements, and contribute to continuous service improvement plans.
• Support release cycles through functional validation, regression testing, and UAT coordination.
• Assist with data corrections and financial reconciliations.

Required profile

• Strong understanding of finance processes and SAP Finance modules.
• Experience in L2/L3 incident and service request management.
• Ability to analyse problems from both functional and technical perspectives.
• Excellent documentation skills and attention to detail.
