FOD expert – Advanced Technical Support

About the role

The FOD Expert provides high‑level technical assistance to technicians, supervisors and managers for Otis elevators and escalators. The role focuses on diagnosing complex failures, improving reliability and supporting modernization projects.

Key responsibilities

• Diagnose complex breakdowns on elevators and escalators, identify root causes and define technical solutions.
• Analyze major incidents, implement corrective and preventive actions, and contribute to continuous improvement of maintenance processes.
• Support technical aspects of modernization projects, validate solutions for customers and ensure compliance with Otis standards.
• Develop and deliver theoretical and practical training for field technicians, including onboarding of new staff.
• Conduct safety and quality audits, ensure adherence to EHS rules and Otis procedures, and promote a culture of safety, ethics and quality.

Required profile

• Strong background in electromechanics, power electronics and automation.
• Experience reading electrical schematics and performing advanced fault analysis.
• Ability to work on strategic, high‑criticality equipment and interface with Otis engineering centers.
