Fraud Monitoring Officer

About the role

The Fraud Monitoring Officer is responsible for researching information‑security and fraud‑prevention techniques, recommending improvements, and supporting policy development to minimise loss from fraud and compliance breaches.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor fraud activity and work to reduce the Fraud per Sales Ratio (FSR).
• Detect and prevent credit‑card fraud, staying current with emerging fraudulent schemes.
• Prepare monthly fraud transaction reports generated through the Contact Centre.
• Develop, implement and monitor compliance with fraud‑related policies and procedures.
• Participate in internal controls, field visits and non‑disciplinary investigations.
• Evaluate internal processes, identify risks and irregularities, and maintain professional relationships across departments.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business administration or a related field (or equivalent diploma with experience).
• At least 3 years of experience in consumer fraud mitigation in an online environment.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in internal control, finance or accounting, preferably within the airline or aviation sector.
• Strong analytical abilities, cost‑orientation and effective problem‑solving skills.
• Fluent English communication.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• In‑depth understanding of payment processing, including credit‑card and ACH transactions.
