Full Stack Developer – Data Platform (Microsoft Fabric & Power BI)

About the role

The Digital Transformation Department of the IFRC is seeking a Full Stack Developer to lead end‑to‑end data projects on its Microsoft Fabric‑based Data Platform. You will translate business needs into robust data solutions that support finance, logistics, HR, and project management across the global Red Cross and Red Crescent network.

Key responsibilities

• Gather and clarify requirements with business stakeholders and analysts.
• Design and implement database schemas, relationships and performance optimisations in Azure Synapse.
• Develop data products using SQL and PySpark, applying Data Vault and dimensional modelling techniques.
• Build, test and publish Power BI dashboards and reports that deliver actionable insights.
• Conduct user‑acceptance testing, resolve identified issues and move solutions to production.
• Implement data quality checks to ensure accuracy, consistency and completeness.
