General Ledger Accountant

About the role

We are seeking a Senior General Ledger Accountant to join Arrow’s EMEA finance team in Casablanca. You will be responsible for the accuracy and control of the General Ledger, month‑end close, statutory reporting and supporting various financial analyses across the group.

Key responsibilities

• Control and manage the accuracy of the General Ledger for assigned Arrow companies.
• Support cash collections activities.
• Execute month‑end financial close procedures, including accruals and trial balance reviews.
• Prepare internal reporting for Europe and the US head office.
• Perform Sarbanes‑Oxley controls.
• Conduct hedging, revaluation and foreign‑exchange analysis.
• Provide headcount reporting, control and forecasting support.
• Handle statutory accounting, corporation tax work and European consolidation.
• Manage VAT, Intrastat and sales‑list reporting, including VAT return submissions.
• Assist with group and statutory audit activities.
• Prepare variance analysis for the above processes.
• Support fellow accountants on various tasks to meet finance department needs.
• Develop and improve accounting processes and procedures.
• Assist the Accounting Manager on projects and ad‑hoc tasks.

Required profile

• Formal accounting or finance education with solid tax knowledge.
• Experience in statutory accounting, corporate tax and European reporting.
• Fluent English communication skills.
• Strong analytical mindset and ability to work under tight deadlines.
• Initiative, resourcefulness and a results‑driven attitude.
• Understanding of regulatory compliance and risk management.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel proficiency.
• Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
• Data manipulation and analysis capabilities.
