Global Payroll Specialist

About the role

We are seeking a proactive, solutions‑focused Global Payroll Specialist to join SymphonyAI’s Global Payroll team. The role supports payroll operations across EMEA, APAC and North America, balancing day‑to‑day processing with project‑based transformation work. You will help shape a modern, compliant payroll function while gaining exposure to multiple countries, systems and providers.

Key responsibilities

• Manage end‑to-end payroll processing for multiple jurisdictions, ensuring accuracy, compliance and internal control adherence.
• Review and reconcile payroll outputs, including tax calculations, statutory deductions and benefits.
• Partner with HR, Finance and external payroll providers to ensure seamless delivery and integration.
• Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of payroll legislation and industry best practices across supported locations.
• Support payroll governance, audit readiness and process standardisation.
• Serve as primary contact for global payroll queries, delivering high‑level employee support.
• Collaborate with external vendors on service delivery, issue resolution and continuous improvement.
• Contribute to payroll‑related projects such as transitions, integrations, acquisitions and transformation initiatives.
• Develop and maintain payroll documentation, operating procedures and knowledge resources.
• Act as a payroll subject‑matter expert within cross‑functional workstreams.

Required profile

• Strong operational payroll experience across several international jurisdictions in a global environment.
• Experience with outsourced payroll models and global payroll providers.
• Exposure to payroll operations in EMEA, APAC and North America; experience in India, the US and Canada is a plus.
• Good understanding of payroll controls, compliance, audit and governance practices.
