Group Commercial Data Engineer

About the role

ECCBC is accelerating its data‑driven transformation across African markets and seeks a Group Commercial Data Engineer to build and scale the data infrastructure that powers commercial analytics, business intelligence and AI solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build and optimise scalable data pipelines and ingestion frameworks.
• Develop and maintain robust ETL/ELT processes and enterprise data models.
• Ensure data reliability, integrity, quality and governance across multiple business units.
• Partner with data scientists to industrialise and deploy machine‑learning models.
• Collaborate with IT, Commercial, Finance, Supply Chain and Reporting teams to address analytical needs.

Required profile

• 3+ years of experience building large‑scale data pipelines and platforms.
• 2+ years working with Microsoft Azure, Microsoft Fabric or Databricks environments.
• Experience in cloud‑based data architectures and analytics ecosystems.
• Exposure to machine‑learning deployment and MLOps is a strong advantage.
• Proven ability to work in international, multicultural environments.
