Group Commercial Data Engineer

About the role

ECCBC is accelerating its data‑driven transformation across African markets and needs a Group Commercial Data Engineer to build and scale the data infrastructure that powers commercial analytics, business intelligence and AI solutions. You will design robust pipelines, ensure data quality and collaborate with data scientists and commercial teams to turn data into actionable insights.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build and optimise scalable data pipelines and ingestion frameworks using Azure, Microsoft Fabric and Databricks.
• Develop and maintain ETL/ELT processes, enterprise data models and data‑warehousing solutions.
• Ensure data reliability, integrity, quality and governance across multiple business units.
• Partner with data scientists to industrialise and deploy machine learning models and predictive analytics.
• Collaborate with IT, commercial, finance and supply‑chain teams to address analytical needs and promote a data‑centric culture.

Required profile

• 3+ years experience building large‑scale data pipelines and platforms.
• 2+ years working with Microsoft Azure, Microsoft Fabric or Databricks environments.
• Strong problem‑solving mindset and ability to communicate technical concepts to non‑technical stakeholders.
