Hardware Engineer – PCB Design (Full‑time)

About the role

ALTEN’s Delivery Center in Morocco is looking for a Hardware Engineer to join its automotive projects team. You will be responsible for the complete PCB layout process, from component placement to final manufacturing files, ensuring high‑quality designs that meet performance and reliability requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Place electronic components (ICs, resistors, capacitors, connectors, etc.) on PCB layouts.
• Route signal, power, and ground traces and manage multilayer stack‑ups.
• Ensure signal integrity, EMC/EMI compliance, thermal performance and overall reliability.
• Apply design for manufacturing, assembly and testing rules (DFM, DFA, DFT).
• Prepare manufacturing documentation such as Gerber files, ODB++, pick‑and‑place files and Bill of Materials.

Required profile

• Master’s degree (BAC+5) in embedded systems or related engineering field.
• At least one successful experience in electronics hardware or PCB physical layout.
• Strong understanding of electronics schematics and PCB manufacturing processes.
• Knowledge of IPC standards (IPC‑2221, IPC‑7351, IPC‑A‑610) is a plus.
• Attention to detail, ability to read datasheets and application notes.

Required skills

• Design for manufacturing/assembly/testing (DFM/DFA/DFT).

• Familiarity with IPC‑2221, IPC‑7351, IPC‑A‑610 standards.
• Reading and interpreting component datasheets.
