Hotel Cleanliness Supervisor

About the role

The Hotel Cleanliness Supervisor ensures that guest rooms, public areas and facilities meet the brand’s quality standards after they have been cleaned. Working closely with housekeeping staff and other hotel departments, the supervisor monitors room status, resolves discrepancies and supports daily operations.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect guest rooms, public areas and pool after cleaning to verify compliance with quality standards.
• Generate and review sold‑room reports, verify room status, identify discrepancies and prioritize cleaning tasks.
• Communicate room assignments and status changes to the Front Desk, Engineering, Laundry and other departments.
• Document and resolve issues with discrepant rooms, ensuring accurate updates for departing guests.
• Assist housekeeping management with hiring, training, scheduling, performance evaluation and employee coaching.
• Follow all safety, security and company policies, report maintenance problems and complete required safety training.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required.
• Minimum of 1 year of relevant housekeeping experience.
• At least 1 year of supervisory experience in a hotel or similar environment.
• Ability to lift and move objects up to 55 lb unaided and heavier items with assistance; capable of standing, walking and bending for extended periods.
• Proficiency in using computers or point‑of‑sale systems to enter and retrieve work‑related information.
