Housekeeping Intern

About the role

The Housekeeping Intern will support the hotel’s housekeeping team in delivering high standards of cleanliness, presentation and guest comfort. This internship offers practical exposure to guest‑room operations, public‑area cleaning, linen management and quality inspections within a leading hotel brand.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with cleaning, preparing and presenting guest rooms according to hotel standards.
• Support replenishment of guest amenities, linen and room supplies.
• Maintain cleanliness and appearance of corridors, public areas and back‑of‑house spaces.
• Learn proper use, storage and handling of cleaning equipment and products.
• Assist with room inspections under supervision of the Housekeeping Supervisor.
• Report maintenance issues, damaged items, missing equipment and safety concerns promptly.
• Support linen and uniform operations, including sorting, counting, storing and distributing items.
• Help with stock counts and organization of housekeeping storerooms.
• Follow lost‑and‑found procedures and hand any found property to the supervisor.
• Coordinate with Front Office, Engineering, Laundry and other departments as required.

Required profile

• Currently studying hospitality management, tourism, hotel operations or a related field.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness.
• Positive attitude, reliable, punctual and able to follow instructions.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Comfortable working in a physically active environment.
• Fluent in French and/or English; Arabic is an advantage.
