IB Theory of Knowledge (TOK) Teacher – High School

About the role

Casablanca American School is looking for an experienced and passionate educator to teach Theory of Knowledge (TOK) within the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme. The role involves guiding students through both the TOK essay and exhibition, fostering critical thinking, inquiry, and academic writing skills.

Key responsibilities

• Teach Theory of Knowledge (TOK) to IB Diploma Programme students.
• Guide and mentor students through the development and completion of the TOK Essay and TOK Exhibition.
• Design and deliver engaging lessons that promote interdisciplinary connections and critical inquiry.
• Establish clear timelines and checkpoints to support student success with TOK requirements.
• Monitor student progress, provide timely feedback, and offer individualized support.
• Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with internal and external IB deadlines.
• Collaborate with IB teachers, coordinators, counselors, and administrators to enhance student achievement.
• Participate actively in school events, professional development, and faculty initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Education or equivalent teaching certification.
• Experience teaching within the International Baccalaureate (IB) Programme (preferred).
• Strong understanding of IB philosophy, assessment practices, and student‑centered instruction.
• Exceptional organizational, planning, and time‑management abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrated ability to mentor, motivate, and support students in achieving academic success.
• Fluency in spoken and written English.
