Industrial Performance & Ramp‑Up Engineer (VIE)

About the role

We are looking for a VIE (24‑month) to support Alstom’s industrial department during the ramp‑up of the Fes rolling‑stock project. The role will bridge engineering and production, ensuring that new manufacturing processes are designed, validated and launched efficiently.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with engineering teams in the preliminary design phase to guarantee compliance with industrial requirements.
• Participate in co‑engineering activities, influencing product design using appropriate methodologies.
• Design macro‑processes, prepare process validation plans and introduce new technologies.
• Estimate method times, perform line balancing and optimise workstation layouts respecting ergonomic and EHS rules.
• Prepare industrial documentation such as Industrial Maturity Follow‑Up (IMFU) and Process FMEA (P‑FMEA).
• Validate product designs through First Article Reviews (FAR) and First Article Inspections (FAI).
• Support production teams after serial launch to meet quality, cost and delivery targets.
• Identify inefficiencies through time analyses and drive continuous improvement in Kaizen workshops.

Required profile

• Engineering degree, preferably in Industrial or Mechanical Engineering.
• Some experience or apprenticeship in manufacturing engineering.
• Good analytical and problem‑solving abilities, organised approach.
• Fluent in English and French.
• Team‑oriented mindset with strong communication skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency with CAD tools, especially CATIA and DELMIA.
• Knowledge of Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) concepts.
• Understanding of quality, EHS standards and ergonomics.
