Information Technology Technician (Casablanca, Euadida, Rabat)

About the role

Softmix, an African IT services company founded in 1995, is hiring a freelance on-site Information Technology Technician in Casablanca, Euadida and Rabat. The technician provides on-site technical support for users and systems, ensuring reliable IT operations and prompt resolution of incidents.

Key responsibilities

• Diagnose and troubleshoot hardware, software and network issues, escalating complex problems when required
• Install, configure and maintain workstations, peripherals and standard applications
• Monitor system performance to prevent downtime
• Support end users with day-to-day IT requests
• Document incidents and solutions
• Take part in routine maintenance, upgrades and security checks
• Collaborate with other IT team members and give basic training to staff on systems, tools and best practices

Required profile

• Strong IT fundamentals, including operating systems, networking basics and common business applications
• Proficiency in customer service, with clear communication and active listening
• Experience giving training or user guidance on IT systems, tools and procedures
• Familiarity with security best practices, backup procedures and incident documentation
• Ability to work on-site in Casablanca, Euadida and Rabat, manage several tasks and respond quickly
• Prior experience in an IT support or helpdesk environment is advantageous; fluency in English and local languages is a plus

Required skills

• Technical support and troubleshooting across hardware, software and network environments
• A relevant technical certification or diploma in IT, Computer Science or a related field (e.g. CompTIA A+, Network+) is an added advantage
