Inland Delivery Team Coordinator

About the role

The Inland Delivery Team Coordinator ensures that inland transport operations are planned and executed in the most cost‑effective manner while meeting vendor agreements and service level requirements. The role acts as the primary liaison between customers, vendors, and internal teams to keep import CH shipments moving smoothly.

Key responsibilities

• Plan inland transport routes, select vendors, and monitor performance against service level agreements.
• Handle delays, exceptions, and transport optimisation opportunities.
• Execute transport instructions, create work orders for rail and port movements, and monitor execution to guarantee timely delivery.
• Assess truck and equipment availability to identify one‑way transport cost‑saving options.
• Resolve invoice and work order discrepancies and issue related invoices.
• Track hauler performance, issue service exceptions, and update transport limitation calendars (e.g., strikes, heavy‑load blocks).
• Coordinate on‑carriage activities before vessel arrival, including T1 requests and rail notifications.
• Communicate with internal and external customers to gather required information and address customs holds.
• Investigate and resolve problems affecting CH shipments and support dispute resolution on inland costs.
• Collaborate with terminal operations to ensure efficient handling of shipments.

Required profile

• Positive attitude with the ability to work well in a team and follow guidelines.
• Strong communication, organization, and time‑management skills.
• Systematic and efficient work approach.
• Good command of spoken and written English.
• Minimum 1 year experience in the maritime or logistics industry.
• University degree or equivalent.
