Insurance Brokerage Internship – Geospatial & Risk Analytics

About the role

We are looking for a motivated intern to join Afriquantrix’s newly‑launched insurance brokerage in Rabat. You will work closely with the leadership team, gaining hands‑on experience across sales, risk modelling, digital transformation and policy advisory within a tech‑enabled, data‑driven environment.

Key responsibilities

• Support sales and business development initiatives for real‑estate, industrial and agribusiness insurance segments.
• Develop technical risk profiles and financial models for complex commercial insurance portfolios.
• Analyse market dynamics and help design scalable, digital‑first distribution channels.
• Assist in the full brokerage lifecycle, from client onboarding to documentation and transparency.
• Build analytical infrastructure, operational dashboards and automation tools to improve efficiency.
• Leverage remote sensing and digital‑twin data to create parametric risk models for industrial sites.
• Translate technical risk insights into policy‑level recommendations for institutional partners.

Required profile

• Pursuing or completed degree in Finance, Actuarial Science, Economics, Business, Public Policy or Data Analytics.
• Strong analytical ability to synthesize complex information and produce detailed documentation.
• Commercial awareness of insurance products, capital markets and physical‑asset risk.
• Proactive ownership and willingness to take responsibility for deliverables.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel (mandatory).
• Programming in Python or R.
• Geographic Information Systems (GIS) knowledge.
• Experience with CRM platforms.
