IT Engineer

About the role

Aptiv is looking for an IT Engineer in Tangier to keep IT operations reliable, secure and efficient across the site, covering both office and shop floor environments. The role maintains IT infrastructure, end-user computing, OT devices and meeting room technologies, and contributes to IT security, compliance and continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day IT support for office and shop floor users and resolve technical issues quickly.
• Support, integrate and secure OT and shop floor devices such as production PCs, HMIs, scanners, label printers, kiosks and connected production equipment.
• Manage local IT and telecom projects, coordinate subcontractors and service providers, and keep technical documentation up to date.
• Manage the full lifecycle of IT equipment, from requirements and procurement to deployment, inventory, stock management and secure decommissioning.
• Deploy, maintain and troubleshoot AV and video conferencing solutions, including Microsoft Teams Rooms, and support them during important meetings and events.
• Strengthen end-user computing security by reviewing security controls, endpoint protection, OS configurations and agent coverage.
• Develop IT standards, best practices and process improvements to strengthen controls, compliance, service continuity and risk management.
• Monitor security events and incidents, define metrics and reporting, and support ISMS/TISAX requirements and internal and external audits.

Required profile

• Bachelor's or engineering degree in IT, computer science, networks or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in IT engineering or end-user computing, preferably in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
• Fluent English and French, with strong problem-solving, communication, organisational and stakeholder management skills.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of Windows, Linux, macOS, networking, mobile device management and IT equipment lifecycle management.
• Experience with endpoint and mobile security solutions such as CrowdStrike and Tanium, and ITSM tools such as ServiceNow.
• Experience supporting OT and shop floor equipment such as industrial PCs, scanners and label printers.
• Good understanding of ISO 27001, TISAX, ISMS and IT risk management; ITIL, ISO 27001, CCNA, Microsoft 365/Azure or CompTIA certifications are an advantage.
