IT Infrastructure Application Design Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a hands‑on IT Infrastructure Application Design Engineer to lead the design of cloud‑based and on‑premise infrastructure for business applications. The role works closely with architecture, security, project and vendor teams to deliver reliable, scalable and secure solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Design infrastructure solutions for application workloads on public cloud platforms (Azure, GCP, AWS) and on‑premise datacentres.
• Translate functional requirements into detailed specifications covering compute, storage, networking, security, availability, backup and monitoring.
• Support cloud migration, modernization and transformation initiatives.
• Produce and maintain technical design documents, solution diagrams, decision logs and implementation plans.
• Coordinate with application owners, cloud engineers, network and security teams, as well as external vendors.
• Manage project tasks, timelines, dependencies, risks and stakeholder communications.
• Ensure designs comply with enterprise architecture standards, security policies and cost‑efficiency goals.
• Facilitate hand‑over to build, operations and support teams.

Required profile

• Minimum 7 years of experience in IT infrastructure and application design.
• Strong knowledge of cloud compute concepts and services across Azure, Google Cloud or AWS.
• Proactive, structured and delivery‑oriented mindset.
• Excellent English communication skills for both technical and business audiences.
