IT Infrastructure Operations – DBA

About the role

STMicroelectronics is looking for a Database Administrator (DBA) to join its Digital Transformation & Information Technology (DTIT) organization. The DBA will be responsible for the operation, monitoring, and continuous improvement of critical database infrastructure that supports the company’s global semiconductor business.

Key responsibilities

• Manage assigned database infrastructure components to meet agreed Operational Level Objectives.
• Ensure high availability, performance, and reliability of Oracle, SQL Server, and MariaDB environments.
• Deploy and maintain database monitoring solutions, providing documentation and training to Level‑1 support teams.
• Lead technical project deployments, risk assessments, and change management activities.
• Diagnose and resolve Level‑2/3 incidents, perform root‑cause analysis, and ensure compliance with OLA/SLA requirements.
• Implement and maintain backup, replication, and disaster‑recovery strategies using RMAN, Oracle GoldenGate, and related tools.
• Act as liaison between operations, service, project management, and architecture teams to ensure solution supportability.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Strong expertise in database administration for Oracle, SQL Server, and MariaDB.
• Hands‑on experience with backup/restore, replication, and disaster‑recovery technologies (RMAN, Oracle GoldenGate, SQL Server equivalents).
• Proven ability to manage incidents, problems, and changes in a production environment.
