IT Technical Sales Consultant (Network / Telco)

About the role

The Technical Sales Consultant works closely with TELUS sales teams and internal delivery groups to design and sell network‑focused solutions across Canada. You will apply deep knowledge of connectivity, unified communications, SD‑WAN and cyber‑security technologies to address customer business needs.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with sales professionals, operations and delivery teams to develop and present solution proposals.
• Manage end‑to‑end development of specific solution sets, handling customer requests such as moves, adds and changes.
• Provide technical expertise on connectivity (Business Internet, High‑Speed Access, GPON), unified communications (Business Connect, MS Teams, O365 bundles), SD‑WAN (TMNE, GoCo) and cyber‑security (Managed Detection Response, pentesting, email protection, awareness).
• Support daily business execution and ensure solutions meet both technical and financial expectations.

Required profile

• Strong ability to work independently, manage ambiguity and adapt to evolving customer requirements.
• Excellent business‑level English communication, both written and verbal.
• Customer‑first mindset with proven relationship‑building skills.
• Comfortable in a fast‑paced, sales‑driven environment.

Required skills

• Technical proficiency in connectivity solutions (Business Internet, High‑Speed Internet, GPON).
• Experience with unified communications platforms (Business Connect, Microsoft Teams, O365 bundles).
• Knowledge of SD‑WAN technologies (TMNE Bundle, GoCo SD‑WAN).
• Cyber‑security expertise (Managed Detection Response, pentesting, email protection, managed awareness).
• Familiarity with Google Suite and TELUS internal tools.
• Relevant industry certifications (e.g., Cisco, Microsoft).
