Junior Accountant

About the role

We are looking for a Junior Accountant to join our French real‑estate team. You will be responsible for end‑to‑end French GAAP accounting, preparing statutory financial statements and supporting IFRS‑to‑French GAAP conversions.

Key responsibilities

• Lead full‑cycle French GAAP accounting for French real‑estate entities, including month‑end, quarter‑end and year‑end closing.
• Prepare and review journal entries, accruals, provisions, reclassifications and foreign‑exchange adjustments.
• Maintain the AC3 (or equivalent) working file: load balances, post adjustments, reconcile accounts and ensure a complete audit trail.
• Review client schedules (fixed assets, capex, depreciation, loans, leases, rent rolls, provisions, employee benefits) and reconcile them with the general ledger.
• Prepare French statutory financial statements (liasse, balance sheet, P&L, annexes) ensuring FEC compliance.
• Coordinate with tax teams and external advisors to align statutory accounts with CIT, VAT and other tax filings.
• Extract, reconcile and validate trial balances from client ERPs or reporting tools.
• Perform detailed IFRS‑to‑French GAAP conversions, posting bridging entries and documenting assumptions.
• Supervise junior accountants, allocate work, review files and ensure deadlines are met.
• Identify and implement process‑improvement and automation initiatives.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Accounting or Finance (DSCG, Master CCA or equivalent).
• 1‑2 years of experience with French GAAP, preferably in a shared‑service centre or audit firm.
• Experience with real‑estate entities and IFRS‑to‑local‑GAAP conversions is a strong advantage.
• Professional fluency in French and working proficiency in English.
