Junior Accountant

About the role

We are looking for a Junior Accountant to lead end‑to‑end French GAAP accounting for French real‑estate entities based in Casablanca. The role involves preparing and reviewing monthly, quarterly and annual closing entries, and ensuring compliance with French statutory reporting requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare, review and post monthly, quarterly and year‑end closing entries, including accruals, provisions, reclassifications and foreign‑exchange adjustments.
• Load balances, post adjustments and reconcile accounts in the AC3 (or equivalent) working file, maintaining a complete audit trail.
• Review client schedules (fixed assets, capex, depreciation, loans, leases, rent rolls, provisions, employee benefits) and reconcile them with the general ledger.
• Prepare French statutory financial statements (balance sheet, P&L, annexes) ensuring FEC compliance.
• Coordinate with tax teams and external advisors to align statutory accounts with CIT, VAT and other tax filings.
• Extract, reconcile and validate trial balances from client ERPs and reporting tools.
• Perform IFRS‑to‑French GAAP conversions, document adjustments and underlying assumptions.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Accounting/Finance (DSCG, Master CCA or equivalent).
• 1‑2 years of experience with French GAAP, preferably in a shared service centre or audit firm.
• Experience with real‑estate entities and IFRS‑to‑local‑GAAP conversions is a strong advantage.
• Professional fluency in French and working proficiency in English.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of French GAAP and French statutory reporting (FEC).
• Working knowledge of IFRS and IFRS‑to‑French GAAP conversion.
• Advanced Excel skills for data manipulation and reporting.
• Experience with ERP and reporting tools for trial‑balance extraction and validation.
