K-8 Elementary Teacher - Culturally Responsive Educator

About the Position

Nah Tah Wahsh Public School Academy is seeking a dedicated and student-centered K-8 Elementary Teacher to foster the academic, social, and emotional growth of our diverse learners. Main Missions

• Plan and deliver engaging, curriculum-based instruction in core subjects including English, Mathematics, Science, and Social Studies.
• Implement differentiated instruction to meet the diverse learning needs of all students within the general classroom.
• Integrate Indigenous perspectives and community values into the daily curriculum to enrich the learning experience.
• Collaborate closely with special education staff to implement and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
• Establish clear learning objectives and maintain proactive communication with students regarding academic expectations.
• Foster a positive, inclusive, and safe classroom climate that supports both academic excellence and emotional well-being.

Profile Required

• Proven experience in elementary education (K-8 level).
• Strong commitment to culturally responsive pedagogy and inclusive teaching practices.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary educational team.
• Deep respect for and understanding of Indigenous cultures and community values.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with students, staff, and families.
