Key Account Manager – Phakic IOLs (Premium Lenses)

About the role

We are seeking a Key Account Manager to drive growth and market penetration for our phakic intraocular lens (IOL) portfolio within the assigned territory. The role will build strong relationships with ophthalmic surgeons, clinics and hospitals while providing clinical and technical support to achieve sales targets.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and manage a portfolio of key accounts, ensuring long‑term partnerships and high customer satisfaction.
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities to increase market penetration of phakic and premium IOLs.
• Provide clinical and technical support to healthcare professionals, highlighting product features and benefits.
• Collaborate with clinical, marketing and product development teams to align commercial strategies with market needs.
• Represent the organization at industry congresses, workshops and training sessions.
• Monitor sales performance, prepare forecasts and report regularly to senior management.
• Contribute to strategic planning and act as primary contact for key accounts in the territory.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Health Sciences (e.g., Clinical Optometry, Pharmacy, Biomedical Sciences) or equivalent.
• 4–6 years of experience in ophthalmic sales, preferably with premium intraocular lenses; phakic IOL experience is a strong plus.
• High proficiency in English (spoken and written); additional regional languages are advantageous.
• Willingness to travel regularly within the assigned territory.
