KYC/AML Associate

About the role

As a KYC/AML Associate in the Client Onboarding team, you will support Bernstein SG’s global client onboarding programme, ensuring compliance with KYC, AML, sanctions and financial‑crime regulations. You will work closely with sales, trading, operations, compliance and legal teams across EMEA, the Americas, India and APAC.

Key responsibilities

• Complete KYC/AML onboarding requests for new clients and conduct periodic reviews, ensuring all information and documentation are accurate and up‑to‑date.
• Perform customer due diligence, risk assessments and identify potential financial‑crime risks, escalating material issues as required.
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders—including Sales, Trading, Operations, IT, Compliance, Risk, Legal, ESG and Connectivity—to gather required client data and support onboarding delivery.
• Maintain accurate client referential records and perform daily reconciliations, contributing to process‑improvement projects and transformation initiatives.

Required profile

• Experience in client onboarding, KYC/AML, compliance operations or a related financial‑services environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact with stakeholders across multiple regions.
• High attention to detail, analytical mindset and ability to manage high‑volume workloads in a fast‑paced environment.
• Resilience, adaptability and sound judgement, adhering to high ethical and professional standards.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel proficiency.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Copilot (advantageous).
