Laboratory Quality Engineer - TAC

About the role

Lear For You, part of Lear Corporation, is hiring a Laboratory Quality Engineer in Tangier. The role covers validation of tooling and equipment, calibration oversight, measurement uncertainty studies and quality monitoring of aftermarket products, while managing teams and leading validation processes.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out validation activities for tooling and equipment during project launches, engineering changes and pre-production phases.
• Oversee the calibration of testing and measurement equipment and develop work instructions for its use.
• Conduct MSA (Gage R&R) studies for measurement and testing equipment and inspection tools.
• Ensure validation of error-proofing (poka-yoke) systems and manage quality monitoring for aftermarket products.
• Handle and take part in resolving warranty claims, gather information for technical analysis of parts and communicate results to customers.
• Ensure lessons learned are implemented, monitor teardown reports and review customer performance indicators via online portals.
• Manage teams including engineers, inspectors and quality technicians, oversee their training and implement engineering changes across projects.
• Lead USCAR validation processes, conduct periodic export audits, verify that quality instructions match each workstation and review test protocols and equipment orders.

Required profile

• Engineering or Master's degree (Bac+5) in Quality, Industrial Engineering or a related field.
• Experience in the automotive wiring industry, preferably in laboratory activities.
• Good communication skills in English and French.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and interact with colleagues across the organisation.
• Legal authorisation to work in the country where the position is located.

Required skills

• Knowledge of quality management systems, including IATF 16949 standards.
• MSA (Gage R&R) studies.
