Lean Engineer - Wind Turbine Blades

About the role

Aeolon Renewable Energy, a global manufacturer of wind turbine blades, is looking for a Lean Engineer to join its Continuous Improvement team in Nador, Morocco. The role leads Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives across production departments to enhance operational excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze production processes to identify waste, bottlenecks and efficiency opportunities.
• Implement Lean methods such as 5S, Kaizen, VSM, SMED, Standard Work, Visual Management, Kanban, Poka-Yoke and Line Balancing.
• Conduct time studies, work measurement and capacity analysis to improve productivity and process flow.
• Optimize manufacturing layouts, workstation ergonomics and material flow.
• Monitor and improve KPIs such as OEE, cycle time, lead time, scrap rate, yield and downtime.
• Facilitate root cause analysis with 5 Why, Fishbone, Pareto and A3 Problem Solving.
• Maintain standard work instructions and support digital dashboards and KPI reporting.
• Lead Kaizen workshops, train supervisors, engineers and operators, and support new line launches.

Required profile

• Master's degree in Industrial, Mechanical, Manufacturing, Process Engineering or a related field.
• At least 3 years of experience in Lean Manufacturing, continuous improvement or industrial engineering in a manufacturing setting.
• Proven track record of Lean projects with measurable gains in productivity, quality, cost or efficiency.
• Fluent English; French is an advantage.
• Preferred: experience in wind energy, composites, automotive, aerospace, heavy manufacturing or industrial equipment.

Required skills

• Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, VSM, 5S, SMED, Kanban, Poka-Yoke, Line Balancing, OEE improvement, Time & Motion study, Root Cause Analysis, A3 Problem Solving, DMAIC.
• Microsoft Excel; Power BI, Minitab or similar tools are an asset.
• ERP and/or MES experience preferred.
