Logistic Specialist – Material Coordinator

About the role

The Material Coordinator ensures the smooth flow, availability, and tracking of engineering materials needed for program activities, prototype builds, and project milestones across multiple sites. Acting as the hub between engineering, purchasing, suppliers, logistics providers, and manufacturing plants, the role guarantees timely material readiness and proactive risk management.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate the flow, availability, and tracking of engineering materials across suppliers, plants, warehouses, and engineering locations.
• Monitor material status, delivery plans, shortages, and priorities to align with program milestones and customer requirements.
• Serve as the central point of contact for material‑related follow‑up with engineering, purchasing, suppliers, logistics partners, and manufacturing teams.
• Maintain accurate material tracking records, including quantities, delivery dates, shipment references, and open issues.
• Support shipment coordination and transport prioritization for urgent project needs.
• Manage material documentation such as delivery notes, packing lists, and shipment records.
• Identify potential material risks, escalate critical issues, and assist in recovery actions to minimize impact on engineering timelines.

Required profile

• Degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related discipline (or equivalent professional experience).
• At least 1 year of experience in material coordination, logistics, supply‑chain support, purchasing, manufacturing, or engineering operations.
• Basic knowledge of material planning, supplier follow‑up, shipment coordination, inventory control, and delivery tracking processes.
• Ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders, manage priorities, and follow up on open points in a dynamic, deadline‑driven environment.
