Logistics Manager (m/f/d)

About the role

The Logistics Manager is responsible for the end‑to‑end material flow across the supply chain, ensuring compliance with legal, quality and corporate standards. You will lead a high‑performance logistics team, develop strategies aligned with business objectives, and act as the key interface with customers, suppliers and internal stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee the logistics function, guaranteeing efficient inbound, internal and outbound material flow.
• Develop and execute logistics strategies focused on cost optimisation, efficiency and service level improvement.
• Lead, develop and motivate the logistics organisation, fostering a results‑driven culture.
• Plan, organise and control material planning, warehousing, inventory management and shipping activities.
• Coordinate with production, suppliers and internal stakeholders to ensure smooth supply.
• Monitor and optimise inventory levels, material flow and logistics KPIs (inventory, delivery performance, costs).
• Prepare and present performance reports to top management.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives such as Lean, process optimisation and digitalisation.
• Manage logistics budgets, ensuring cost control and efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with quality standards (e.g., IATF 16949), legal requirements and internal procedures.
• Escalate and take decisive action during critical disruptions, including halting deliveries or production if needed.
• Maintain health, safety, environmental and compliance standards within logistics.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s (or Master’s) degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 10 years of logistics/supply‑chain experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably automotive.
• At least 5 years of proven leadership experience managing large logistics or supply‑chain teams.
• Strong analytical, reporting and stakeholder‑management capabilities.
