Manager, Global Awards

About the role

Save the Children International is seeking a Manager, Global Awards to lead strategic and operational award management across its worldwide programmes. The role ensures award funds are used efficiently, compliantly, and with high impact for children.

Key responsibilities

• Provide expert strategic and operational award management services to global teams.
• Oversee the full award lifecycle, including contracting, delivery, compliance, and close‑out.
• Manage a portfolio of globally‑managed awards and supervise Global Awards Advisors.
• Coordinate with donors, country offices, and programme teams to ensure smooth award and sub‑award administration.
• Support senior leadership on risk, issue resolution, and compliance matters.
• Build capacity within the team, improve internal processes, and enhance efficiency.
• Respond to major humanitarian emergencies with flexible working hours as needed.

Required profile

• Proven experience in award, grant, or funding management within an international development or humanitarian context.
• Demonstrated ability to manage donor compliance and sub‑award processes.
• Experience supervising staff and leading cross‑functional teams.
• Strong collaborative skills with donors, partners, and internal stakeholders.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, especially during emergencies.
