Material Engineer Cum Geotechnical Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a Material Engineer Cum Geotechnical Engineer to join our team and ensure the quality and performance of construction materials and geotechnical works across projects.

Key responsibilities

• Review and assess geotechnical investigation reports, soil parameters, foundation recommendations, and ground improvement proposals.
• Provide technical inputs on foundation systems, retaining structures, pavement subgrade conditions, and geotechnical design aspects of the project.
• Review contractor submissions related to geotechnical works, foundation designs, material approvals, and testing methodologies.
• Establish and monitor quality assurance and quality control procedures for all construction materials and geotechnical works.
• Supervise laboratory and field testing activities for soil, concrete, steel, aggregates, asphalt, and other construction materials.
• Verify compliance of construction materials and workmanship with approved specifications, standards, and contract requirements.
• Monitor earthworks, excavation, backfilling, compaction, embankments, pavement layers, and foundation construction activities.
• Conduct periodic inspections and audits of site laboratories, testing facilities, and construction activities.
• Review quality control reports, test results, non‑conformance reports (NCRs), and corrective action plans.
• Coordinate with structural, civil, pavement, architectural, and construction teams to address material and geotechnical issues.
• Advise the Project Manager on quality, geotechnical risks, construction challenges, and mitigation measures.
• Prepare technical reports, quality monitoring reports, geotechnical assessments, and project documentation.
