Material Planner – Ensure Raw Material Availability

About the role

The Material Planner reports to the Material Planning Supervisor and is responsible for guaranteeing that raw materials are available at the right time and quality for production at Aptiv Morocco. You will work closely with internal logistics, quality, engineering, and external suppliers to keep the supply chain flowing smoothly.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor supplier anomalies and communicate issues promptly.
• Analyze material and component requirements and generate weekly procurement programs.
• Review WIP stock levels, identify over‑stock, shortages, and negative stock.
• Detect and track production, cutting, or engineering anomalies that cause stock gaps.
• Clear orders weekly to avoid overstocking and verify goods receipt in store.
• Manage obsolete references and evaluate supplier service quality.
• Update monitoring tables and QVC Wall, and follow up on critical components.
• Monitor transport of goods, ensuring proper flow via MRP and SAP.
• Decide on stock shortage actions, transport mode in emergencies, and propose alternative equipment.
• Ensure compliance with quality, environmental, health, and safety standards.

Required profile

• Experience in material planning or supply‑chain logistics.
• Strong analytical skills to assess stock levels and procurement needs.
• Ability to collaborate with suppliers, logistics, quality engineers, and product managers.
• Knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations.
