Method Engineer – Garment Manufacturing

About the role

We are seeking a Method Engineer to drive efficiency and quality in our garment manufacturing operations. You will work closely with production, planning, and quality teams to optimise processes, balance lines, and ensure timely delivery of lingerie items.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse and improve production processes to maximise efficiency.
• Conduct time‑and‑motion studies to identify bottlenecks and propose solutions.
• Monitor and enhance line balancing for optimal resource utilisation.
• Calculate and update Standard Minute Values (SMVs) for all lingerie items based on accurate time studies.
• Ensure accurate data entry for cost estimation and target setting.
• Assist in planning production capacity to meet order demands while maintaining quality.
• Collaborate with the planning team to determine feasible delivery timelines.
• Generate daily, weekly, and monthly performance reports and recommend improvements.
• Design workstation layouts that minimise operator fatigue and maximise productivity.
• Lead Lean, Six Sigma, or other process‑improvement projects to reduce non‑productive time.

Required profile

• Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in the apparel industry.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and presentation skills.
• Strong problem‑solving and conflict‑resolution abilities.
• Proficiency in English and French.
