Onshore System Engineer

About the role

As an Onshore System Engineer you will act as the technical interface between Siemens railway signalling projects and the Moroccan railway operator ONCF, ensuring seamless integration of complex signalling solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the primary technical contact for the project team and coordinate with offshore engineering and project execution teams.
• Monitor technical solutions, safety dossiers (DTS/DACE) and ensure compliance with contract and regulatory requirements.
• Identify customer needs and potential new business opportunities.
• Train and lead onshore key roles to enable independent activity management.

Required profile

• 10+ years of experience on Moroccan railway signalling projects, especially with ONCF.
• Engineering degree in Electrical, Railway Systems or equivalent; postgraduate studies in signalling preferred.
• Fluent in English, French and Arabic.
• Strong analytical background and proven V‑cycle project development experience.

Required skills

• Computer‑Based Interlocking (CBI), CTC, ETCS (trackside & on‑board).
• GSM‑R communications and safety frameworks (DTS, DACE, CENELEC).
• Technical documentation management and project monitoring tools.
• Negotiation, problem‑solving and decision‑facilitation abilities.
