Operations Performance Manager – Supply Chain & Manufacturing

About the role

Danone is looking for an Operations Performance Manager to drive operational excellence across its African industrial network. You will lead performance reporting, identify improvement opportunities, and support factories in achieving productivity, quality, and service targets.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the monthly performance cycle, consolidating supply‑chain results across manufacturing sites.
• Track and analyse KPIs such as productivity, waste, safety, forecast accuracy, and DIO.
• Ensure data accuracy and harmonisation across all African markets.
• Identify performance gaps and provide actionable insights to business units.
• Support factories in meeting productivity, efficiency, quality, and service‑level objectives.
• Monitor supply‑chain reliability, logistics performance and warehousing KPIs.
• Lead or support cross‑functional transformation projects (digitalisation, automation, planning tools, manufacturing systems).
• Deploy global tools, methodologies and best practices across Africa Dairy.
• Train local teams on KPI analysis, governance processes and reporting.
• Own the operations performance dashboard and manage reporting cadence.

Required profile

• Approximately 8 years of experience in operations, manufacturing, supply‑chain or procurement.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to navigate ambiguity and drive results.
• Excellent communication, presentation and influencing skills.
• Detail‑oriented, structured approach to problem‑solving.
• Comfortable working in cross‑cultural environments and with diverse stakeholders.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with Power BI and other data‑visualisation tools.
