Outside Sales Representative – Payment Technology

About the role

As an Outside Sales Executive focused on payment technology, you will help small and mid‑size merchants modernize their operations using Genius®, Global Payments’ leading point‑of‑sale and payment platform. You will own the full sales cycle, from prospecting and lead generation to demos, negotiations, and closing.

Key responsibilities

• Sell Genius® and other Global Payments solutions to businesses in restaurant, retail, and service sectors.
• Build and maintain a consistent pipeline through field prospecting, digital outreach, and local networking.
• Deliver consultative, value‑based presentations in‑person and virtually.
• Collaborate with the District Manager to identify opportunities, set appointments, and close sales quickly.
• Track pipeline activity accurately in Atlas and Salesforce.
• Upsell and cross‑sell existing merchants on new features, software add‑ons, and hardware upgrades.
• Stay informed on fintech trends to act as a trusted technology advisor.

Required profile

• Proven B2B sales success, preferably in SaaS, fintech, or merchant services.
• Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation abilities.
• High energy, self‑motivated, and competitive mindset.
• Professional presence with the ability to connect with business owners.
• Familiarity with restaurant or retail industries is a plus.
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to spend at least 75% of time in the field.
• Must be 18 years or older; high school diploma or GED required, college degree preferred.
• Minimum two years of relevant B2B sales experience and residence within the posting’s geographic area.
