Part-time Quality Control Inspector (Freelance)

About the role

As a Quality Control Inspector at QIMA, you will work part‑time as a freelancer reporting to the Operations Manager. You will support the Consumer Products Division by conducting inspections of merchandise and ensuring compliance with QIMA’s quality standards. You will collaborate with suppliers and QIMA’s internal teams to ensure that every product meets the required safety and quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Check email daily to receive inspection documents, guidelines, and any updates from the Operations Manager.
• Attend scheduled inspections on time, conduct on‑site assessments, and communicate findings professionally with the supplier.
• Perform thorough inspections of merchandise according to QIMA’s procedures, covering aspects such as product condition, labeling, and compliance.
• Supervise the stuffing of containers, ensuring that packing methods follow company standards and prevent product damage.
• Complete and submit detailed inspection reports within the required timelines, adhering to QIMA’s reporting format and quality criteria.

Required profile

• At least 2 years of experience in quality management, preferably within softlines, garments, textiles, or footwear sectors.
• Solid knowledge of Acceptable Quality Level (AQL) standards and relevant safety and quality regulations.
• Strong command of written and spoken English to document findings and interact with international suppliers.
• Excellent attention to detail combined with high professional ethics to uphold QIMA’s quality standards.

Required skills

• Proficiency in applying AQL standards during product inspections.
• Experience in quality management processes for softlines, garments, textiles, and footwear.
