Payroll Analyst – Payroll (France)

About the role

Join Amazon’s Payroll team and own the end‑to‑end payroll processing cycle for a country or business unit. You will work closely with internal stakeholders and external vendors to ensure accurate, timely payroll delivery while continuously improving processes.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the full payroll processing cycle, including source‑to‑gross and gross‑to‑net balances.
• Provide payroll accounting support and resolve complex payroll queries and escalations.
• Coordinate vendor operations and act as the primary contact for Benefits, Compensation, Stock Options, HR Services, Recruitment, Accounting, Treasury and other partners.
• Lead process‑improvement projects (e.g., Six Sigma), support country expansions and set up new payrolls.
• Collaborate with the Operational Excellence team to enhance payroll efficiency.
• Participate in the Payroll Academy and other training programs to develop expertise.

Required profile

• Fluent in English and French (spoken, written, reading).
• Minimum 2 years of experience in finance or HR payroll functions.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.
• Familiarity with basic employment law and payroll best practices.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel, Access, Oracle, Essbase, SQL and VBA.
• Experience with PeopleSoft, SAP, ADP or similar HR/payroll systems.
• Data‑driven decision making and financial/business analysis.
• Audit handling and continuous‑improvement project participation.
