P&C UK Reserving Actuary

About the role

SCOR is seeking an experienced Property & Casualty (P&C) Reserving Actuary to join its Casablanca team. You will support the UK and European non‑Lloyd's business by delivering high‑quality actuarial reserving services across insurance, facultative reinsurance and treaty reinsurance portfolios.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and review quarterly reserving calculations for UK and European non‑Lloyd's entities.
• Lead and contribute to a variety of reserving projects, ensuring compliance with regulatory frameworks.
• Analyse financial impacts, drivers of change and provide clear explanations to senior stakeholders.
• Manage project timelines, represent the reserving department in cross‑functional meetings, and drive process improvements.
• Document and maintain departmental controls, procedures and reporting standards.

Required profile

• Fellow of the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries (FIA) or equivalent qualification (FCAS, FIAA).
• Minimum 7 years of experience in a Lloyd’s/London market reserving role (advantageous).
• Strong knowledge of UK and French GAAP, Solvency II, Solvency UK and IFRS 17.
• Fluent English speaker with solid understanding of P&C reinsurance and reserving practices.
• Proven ability to analyse complex financial data and communicate findings effectively.

Required skills

• Proficiency with actuarial software and reporting tools, including ResQ.
• Advanced Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Programming/coding ability in VBA, SQL and Python; familiarity with Generative AI tools.
