About the role

The Cost Pilot will lead cost management for advanced automotive projects, ensuring that financial targets are met while balancing performance, quality, and schedule requirements. This position works closely with project partners to drive cost optimisation throughout the project lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Define and monitor project cost commitments, consolidating all economic elements to achieve target cost/performance ratios.
• Structure cost‑management activities according to Job Share, Pay Share and RASI guidelines.
• Monitor design costs to guarantee optimal TPC‑Investment relative to performance, quality, delay and R&D expenses.
• Produce economic reporting, including TPC forecasts, expense and investment status versus targets.
• Provide component cost targets to purchasing in line with global GPSC objectives.
• Build and monitor risk and opportunity portfolios for both project and serial life.
• Lead cost convergence plans and negotiate transformation cost contracts with manufacturing.
• Manage yearly investment and expense budgets, delivering monthly breakdowns and forecasts to controlling.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree (Bac+5) in Economics or a related field.
• 2‑5 years of experience in cost management or project finance.
• Strong knowledge of Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) concepts.
• Proficiency in Excel for data analysis and reporting.
• Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing principles.
