Plant Simulation Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a Plant Simulation Engineer to join our team developing next‑generation virtual development and validation platforms for a major automotive OEM. The role focuses on creating plant models and supporting simulation‑based engineering across vehicle systems, enabling early validation in virtual test environments.

Key responsibilities

• Develop plant models for automotive subsystems such as sensors, actuators, e‑powertrain, vehicle dynamics, and braking.
• Contribute to virtual test platform development across MIL, SIL, and HIL environments.
• Support model‑based development and simulation using MATLAB/Simulink.
• Perform virtual ECU activities, including co‑simulation, virtualization, and system integration.
• Apply software verification and validation methods in virtual development environments.
• Troubleshoot and resolve platform and system‑level issues.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional engineering teams on simulation, validation, and integration topics.
• Support CI/CD‑oriented workflows for virtual platform development and testing.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical/Electronic, Computer Engineering or a related field.
• 2–4 years of experience developing virtual test platforms for automotive applications.
• Strong knowledge of plant model development and physics‑based or data‑based modeling techniques.
• Experience with virtualization, co‑simulation, and system integration toolchains.

Required skills

• MATLAB/Simulink and model‑based development workflows.
• Plant modeling, multibody dynamics, hydraulic system modeling.
• Virtualization and co‑simulation tools (dSPACE, ETAS, QTronic Silver, VirtualTarget, Model.CONNECT, VDK, Siemens, etc.).
• Embedded software development in C/C++ and AUTOSAR architecture.
• CAN analysis tools and software version control.
• Scripting/automation (Python, VB, VBnet).
• Familiarity with Linux, ADAS, Ethernet interfaces, GT Power, AMESim (nice to have).
