Portfolio Results Advisor

About the role

The Portfolio Results Advisor will strengthen Save the Children’s Sponsorship programmes by ensuring high‑quality results reporting and robust accountability mechanisms. Working within the Programme Delivery department, you will support country teams, lead learning initiatives and manage the evaluation pipeline across the global portfolio.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain a system for generating high‑quality programme results reports, including Total Reach and Sponsorship Annual Reports.
• Provide country‑specific MEAL technical assistance and manage the Community of Practice for learning in Sponsorship and social transformation programmes.
• Lead global learning initiatives to generate evidence on inequality and discrimination, synthesising findings for the organisation’s Breakthroughs.
• Oversee the evaluation pipeline (baseline, midline, endline) in collaboration with the Research and Evaluation Unit.
• Identify capacity gaps in MEAL staff and programme managers, and design tools, guidance and learning programmes to address them.
• Ensure strong accountability systems are in place for all Sponsorship programming.

Required profile

• Proven experience in Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and Learning (MEAL) within humanitarian or international development contexts.
• Ability to work collaboratively with global and country teams and to provide technical assistance on demand.
• Strong analytical mindset with experience in data‑driven reporting and knowledge synthesis.
• Flexibility to work in a hybrid/remote setting and right to work in the assigned location.
