Postdoc in Phosphate Fertilizer Manufacturing and Formulation

About the role

We are looking for a highly motivated post‑doctoral researcher to join the MAScIR foundation program at Mohammed VI Polytechnic University in Benguerir, Morocco. The successful candidate will lead research on the design and production of new phosphate‑based fertilizer formulas, focusing on triple superphosphate as the mineral component.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and formulate both simple and complex fertilizer formulas.
• Characterize the produced formulas using spectroscopy, microscopy, porosity analysis and other physicochemical techniques to understand structure‑property relationships.
• Evaluate the effectiveness of the new formulas in laboratory and greenhouse experiments.
• Report progress and results to the research team and contribute to scientific publications and patent applications.

Required profile

• Ph.D. in Chemistry, Materials Science or a related discipline with hands‑on experience in fertilizer manufacturing and formulation.
• Experience designing and characterizing simple and complex fertilizers.
• Strong knowledge of techniques for assessing physicochemical properties and physical quality of fertilizers.
• Ability to analyse chemical composition of raw materials and finished products.
• Proven record of scientific publications in peer‑reviewed journals.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills in English and French.
