About the role

The AgroBioSciences (AgBS) program at Mohammed VI Polytechnic University seeks a motivated postdoctoral researcher to investigate how newly developed fertilizer forms influence soil pH, native microbiomes, and greenhouse‑gas emissions. The role combines controlled‑environment and field experiments with advanced data analysis to support sustainable agriculture solutions for Africa.

Key responsibilities

• Design and execute laboratory and field experiments to assess the impact of novel fertilizer formulations on soil chemistry and microbial communities.
• Measure greenhouse‑gas fluxes (CO₂, CH₄, N₂O) using hands‑on techniques and quantify trade‑offs between nutrient efficiency and emissions.
• Analyze experimental data, interpret results, and prepare high‑quality manuscripts for peer‑reviewed journals.
• Mentor master’s and PhD students, providing guidance on experimental protocols and data interpretation.

Required profile

• PhD in Agronomy or a closely related field with demonstrated experience in greenhouse‑gas measurement.
• Strong publication record in reputable scientific journals.
• Experience supervising undergraduate or graduate students in research projects.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a multidisciplinary environment.
