About the role

The AgroBioSciences (AgBS) program at Mohammed VI Polytechnic University seeks a motivated postdoctoral researcher to investigate how newly developed fertilizer forms influence soil pH, native microbiomes, and greenhouse‑gas emissions. The position combines controlled‑environment and field experiments with advanced data analysis to support sustainable agriculture solutions for Africa.

Key responsibilities

• Design and execute controlled and field experiments to assess fertilizer impacts on soil chemistry and microbial communities.
• Measure greenhouse‑gas fluxes and evaluate trade‑offs between nutrient efficiency and emissions.
• Mentor master’s and PhD students involved in the project.
• Prepare high‑quality manuscripts for peer‑reviewed journals.

Required profile

• PhD in Agronomy or a closely related field.
• Hands‑on experience with greenhouse‑gas measurement techniques.
• Proven ability to interpret complex environmental data and publish in scientific journals.
• Experience supervising undergraduate or graduate students.
