About the role

The African Sustainable Agriculture Research Institute (ASARI) at Mohammed VI Polytechnic University seeks a motivated postdoctoral researcher to advance biodiesel production from biomass. Key responsibilities

• Develop and optimise lipid extraction protocols from various biomass sources.
• Convert extracted lipids into biodiesel and assess conversion efficiency.
• Analyse lipid profiles and biodiesel quality using appropriate analytical techniques.
• Perform mass‑balance calculations, evaluate lipid yields and biodiesel productivity.
• Publish results in peer‑reviewed journals and present at national scientific meetings.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and contribute to international research projects.

Required profile

• PhD in Biotechnology, Chemical Engineering, Bioenergy, Environmental Engineering or a related discipline.
• Demonstrated expertise in lipid extraction and biodiesel production.
• Strong written and spoken English; French communication skills are also required.
• Excellent interpersonal, organisational and presentation abilities.
• Capacity to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
