Process Engineer – Continuous Improvement & Optimization

About the role

STMicroelectronics is seeking a Process Engineer to drive continuous improvement and optimization of its assembly processes. You will work in a collaborative, cross‑functional environment to enhance yield, reduce scrap, and support cost‑reduction initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Lead Process Change Management, define qualification strategies, and chair cross‑functional Change Review Boards.
• Own and maintain process documentation, ensuring consistency across PFMEA, Reverse PFMEA, flow charts, control plans, work instructions, OCAPs, and defect catalogues.
• Conduct process risk assessments through PFMEA and implement mitigation action plans.
• Monitor process KPIs, improve yield, reduce scrap, and support cost‑reduction projects.
• Support internal and external audits (VDA, IATF) and drive implementation of corrective actions.
• Investigate customer complaints, perform root‑cause analysis, and follow up on corrective actions.
• Lead MSA studies (GR&R, bias, linearity) to ensure measurement system capability.
• Collaborate with NPI, R&D, and suppliers on new products and major process changes.
• Support MRB investigations through process analysis and root‑cause identification.

Required profile

• Engineering degree (Mechanical, Electronic, or Industrial).
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a manufacturing or process‑engineering environment.
• Strong logical and analytical mindset with the ability to learn quickly.
• Solid understanding of KPI monitoring, yield improvement, and scrap reduction.
• Excellent communication, teamwork, and cross‑functional collaboration skills.
